Abstract The world wide web has been called "the fastest growing advertising medium of all time," and I doubt we've seen anything yet. Conducting marketing research online is the in thing to do. Many research suppliers have formed separate divisions to focus on interactive media. And, new research agencies have sprung up specializing in online research. Online research has become a fact of life, but I think it's time to pause for a moment and ask, "Can online research survive its exuberant adoption?"
